Short Break Guidelines

Peterborough City Council guidelines on activities and support for disabled children (short breaks), to provide opportunities for children and young people with disabilities up to the age of 19 to spend time away from parents and carers with quality support.  Short Breaks also provide parents and carers with breaks from their caring responsibilities and facilitate quality of life by enabling families to go out and do things together.

Short Break Statement Service

This statement provides an overview of the range of activities and support for children/young people (known as Short Breaks) offered by Peterborough City Council and the criteria by which eligibility for services will be assessed.  It is called a Short Break Service Statement, and every Local Authority has a duty to have one.  It is due to be updated shortly.
